Established in 1981, the Munro Centre in St Lucia Queensland has built a reputation of quality care for children up to kindy age.
We are currently approved for 52 places and work a maximum of 38 hours per week.

About the Role:
The Centre Director is a senior and respected position within The Munro Centre, with overarching responsibility for the day to day leadership and management.
As the Centre Director, you will have experience in evaluating and driving effective centre business performance by monitoring, planning, and implementing strategies in collaboration with all stakeholders to develop and accelerate centre operations to high performance.
Key duties include promoting and ensuring:
- The delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care based on a primary care giving model.
- Strong trusting relationships between children, families and staff.
- A strong and cohesive professional team.
- Meaningful parent participation in all aspects of the service.
- Curriculum development that is child-centred and adaptive for all children’s needs to ensure an inclusive environment that embraces diversity.
- Flexible relevant and responsive service provision.
- Cost effective service provision and the best investment of available resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in accordance with the requirements of the Educational and Care Services National Regulations and Law, and the National Quality Framework.
- Manage the Centre in accordance with the Centre Philosophy, policies and standards in partnership with the Parent Management Committee.
- Actively promote the objectives and goals of The Munro Centre.
- Actively plan for and maintain high standards of management and administration of the Centre at alI times.
- Actively encourage and support the operation of Parent Management Committee and parent group within the Centre, and ensure that there is a clear understanding of roles.
- Manage the staffing of the Centre.
Essential position requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor Qualification in Early Childhood Education
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Standards.
- Current Working With Children Card (WWCC)
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Current Suitability Card
Experience
- Ideally 2 years experience in a management role (such as director, assistant director, or educational leader).
